Enrique Lopezcalva

Senior Technical Practice Leader
RMC, a Woodard & Curran Company

Enrique has nearly 20 years of experience working in the United States and internationally on water resources planning, systems modeling, climate change adaptation, water-energy-climate nexus, and decision support. He has led multiple projects that take a comprehensive view of water resources systems including integration of surface and groundwater and integration of water in all stages of the urban water cycle. He has also co-authored technical manuals on total water management and climate change for AWWA, California Department of Water Resources and EPA and has served on regional and national committees of the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation.

The complexity of the environmental and water resources projects we execute today has significantly increased compared to how we approached things in the 20th century. We now recognized the full impacts of what we do, the resources we use, and how we dispose of—or reuse—what we perceive as waste. We need new tools and processes to solve systemic issues. I love using creativity and innovation to develop these tools and processes with my colleagues at Woodard & Curran alongside our clients and engaged stakeholders.
