Beau Johnston, PE

Project Manager
TREC, a Woodard & Curran company
Beau has several years of experience in automated equipment, process, and facility design, including facility construction and commissioning. He has been involved from the design stage to startup on a wide range of automated equipment and processing projects for the food and beverage, agricultural, and nuclear industries. With expertise in process integration and developing facility and equipment designs, he has managed projects ranging from $20,000 to $5,000,000.  Beau’s extensive work with engineering design, fabrication, and construction has provided him the acumen to identify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operating costs for our clients.

“I’m particularly interested in working with clients to develop an initial concept into a working process or facility. It is this creative process that is most fulfilling for me—seeing someone’s dream turn into reality. I’m also a firm believer that there is elegance in simplicity and the more complicated we make our designs the harder it is for our clients to operate them efficiently and the more likely they are to fail. Because of this, I approach each project looking for ways to streamline our design and set the end product up for success.”
